Letter to Douglas Vandergraph

I never expected a letter from my daughter to affect me this deeply.
I read it for the first time on camera, and what happened was completely unplanned.
Her words reminded me that some of the most important things in life are also the easiest to leave unsaid.
“I love you.”
“I’m proud of you.”
“Thank you.”
“You matter to me.”
This became more than a father reading a letter from his daughter. It became a reminder to tell the people we love what they mean to us while we still have the opportunity.
If you are a parent, a son or daughter, or someone who values faith, family, and meaningful relationships, I hope this moment speaks to you.
If you could write one honest letter today to someone you love, what would you want them to know?
