Jesus gets hired by UNL
What would happen if Jesus Christ became an assistant coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team?
The Assistant Coach is a powerful Christian fiction story set inside the high-pressure world of Nebraska football, where players and coaches are fighting for positions, recognition, victories, and uncertain futures.
But Jesus sees the struggles that no scoreboard can measure.
Fear of being replaced. Identity built on performance. Family relationships damaged by ambition. Leadership without compassion. Success that can never provide lasting security.
At the center of this faith-based football story is Grant Mercer, a senior receiver who is terrified that everything he has worked for is slipping away. Jesus does not ask him to stop caring about football. He challenges him to stop sacrificing the people he loves just to prove that he matters.
This inspiring Christian story explores Nebraska Cornhuskers football, Christian leadership, forgiveness, personal responsibility, family restoration, emotional healing, faith over fear, college athletics, and the truth that your value does not disappear when the applause stops.
Whether you love Jesus Christ, Nebraska football, inspiring sports stories, Christian encouragement, or meaningful stories about leadership and redemption, this journey through Lincoln, Nebraska, and Memorial Stadium was written for you.
